At Good Shepherd Hospital, your satisfaction is our number one concern. “We wanted to provide our community with a convenient and comfortable place that offers professional testing to complement our caring staff,” says Timothy McDonnell, director of ambulatory care services. “Our response is the new Outpatient Pavilion.” Here’s what the center offers:

Easy parking: More than 400 parking spaces are available, with an area created close to physician offices so patients don’t have far to walk.

Faster admitting and registration: Thanks to a centralized registration area, patients will be in and on their way in no time. “Our goal is to make a visit to the Outpatient Pavilion as stress free as possible,” says Donna Pogorzelski, patient intake supervisor.

A comfortable setting: The spacious pavilion offers a calming atmosphere with the convenience of centralized services—so there’s no need to travel from office to office. We also provide private changing rooms with individual lockers. And the addition of a coffee bar and café creates a relaxing area for individuals who are waiting for a loved one or who just want to enjoy a quick treat after their appointment, such as flavored coffees and pastries.

What will you find at the pavilion?

Comprehensive cardio-diagnostics. The Outpatient Pavilion offers a wide range of diagnostic technology, including electrocardiography (EKG), exercise stress tests, Holter monitoring (a walking EKG) and echocardiography. New exercise stress test suites enable doctors to perform several different procedures in the same room during the stress test, and the suites are just steps away from nuclear medicine, where pre- and post-scanning is conducted.

Neurology. Advanced testing is available on site, including electroencephalography (EEG), a measurement of the brain’s electrical activity, and electromyography (EMG), an investigation of nerve and muscle function.

Respiratory therapy. The pavilion offers a full pulmonary lab that is readily accessible for functional testing and diagnosis.

Endoscopy. We have added four new areas filled with the latest technology, expanding our treatment space by 66 percent and our testing area by 75 percent.

Onsite radiology. Don’t wait to find out if it’s a break. We’ll see you right away and provide test results promptly.
